1) It's Mac, not MAC. You can use NTFS but you need 3rd party software to be able to read the disc. My copy of Windows is coming in on Wednesday, just ordered it, but when I install, should I run it using NTFS or FAT32? With NTFS, I get better reliability and security, but I can't write or save files onto the windows segment. With FAT32, I get better compatibility and I can write and save. I tried to format as FAT 32 on the PC (XP 32 Pro) but obviously there is the 32GB limit for PC formatting, so I tried FAT 32 for my mac, but then the PC won’t read it. Which is strange because I have a 160GB FAT32 drive which my Mac and PC.will. read!?! Can Macs read NTFS discs? If that’s the case then I’m laughing!

FAT32 and NTFS are the two common file systems used by an operating system. While FAT32 is the older version of the file system, it is still popular on many devices. Devices like PS3 still support FAT32 as opposed to the newer NTFS.

As a result, many people often get stuck in situations where they're required to convert NTFS to FAT32 on a hard drive partition. If you're dealing with a similar situation, this blog will help. We've put together a list of the most effective methods to convert NTFS to FAT32 without losing your valuable data.

Moreover, once the job is done, you can again convert the FAT32 partition back to NTFS without any hassle.

2. Powershell

Step 1: Press 'Windows' + 'X' and select 'Windows Powershell Admin'.
